I am someone who LOVES music. Some friends may argue that my taste in music is a little questionable, but you can't deny that for many people, music helps fuel workouts. I cannot imagine doing solo training jogs or workouts without music. The pumping bass and beats help keep my pace up, and make me feel like dancing. I get bored by my playlists quickly, so am really thankful for iTunes and instant downloads! Could you imagine having to make all your playlists by creating a mix tape ala the early 90's? I did it - sitting next to my radio, waiting to hit "record" when a favorite song came on!
Here are some great resources for workout music ideas.
- Steady130: Great remixes sorted by genre and beats per minute (BPM)
- GymDJ: Popular songs sorted by BPM
- IntheGym.net: Blogger who compiles various playlists regularly
- jog.fm This looks really neat: enter your desired run pace and it will give you a playlist to make it happen
This is my favorite workout song of the moment (and also
@iheartreading's fave as she Tweeted earlier - good taste!)
Can we make a little ENELL community workout play list? What's your favorite song to workout to right now?
