Why I Run...

National Running Day is June 6th, and the organization behind it is prompting the question - why do you run?

Did you know that there are nearly 43 million runners in the United States? Being a runner doesn't mean that you're a competitive athlete or the fastest on the track. It just means you enjoy to run, no matter the speed or the distance.

Here are some more fun running facts:
  • The half-marathon is the fastest growing, and most popular race. More than 5 million people finished a half-marathon in the past 5 years.
  • The typical American runner runs 26.1 miles on average per week.
  • Running helps combat stress, emotional strain, and mild depression.
Want to fill in the blank with the reason that you run? Write it down and stick it in your office, on your refrigerator, or in your bra drawer! Click here (or the image below) to download a printable PDF!

  2. Running is the best activity because you make all your muscles work, your lungs are more clear, and it gives adrenalin that make your spirit feel better.
