National Yoga Month

September is National Yoga Month as declared by the Department of Health and Human Services. If you're a regular yogi or someone who has never tried it, this is a great month to expand horizons and either try a new form of yoga or take your first class as over 1,600 studios nationwide are offering a free week of yoga! Search for participating studios here.

There are many health benefits to yoga, as shown here by the Yoga Health Foundation.

The great thing also about yoga is that there are so many variations of it, and people of all levels can practice.  Some specialized yoga practices include hot yoga, partner yoga, antigravity yoga, or vinyasa flow yoga. If you've tried one form of yoga that wasn't your cup of tea, try something else - you might learn you love it! Personally, I'm looking forward to trying Vinyasa Flow this month.

For support when you're in yoga, we recommend the ENELL LITE, which is designed for lower impact activities. Here's a review from awesome blogger Anna Guest-Jelley of Curvy Yoga.

Do you plan on doing yoga this month? What's your favorite type, or what are you most looking forward to trying?
