Last weekend, I was parked at a stoplight while out running errands when I saw someone out of the corner of my eye jumping and waving their hands. I turned to look at what crazy person is acting like a food in the park, only to notice that they weren't crazy, they were doing
plyometrics! It was a beautiful day out, and this woman was taking full advantage of the outdoors and the flat grassy area at the park to what I would assume was a circuit workout of squats, jumps, jump rope, pushups, and more.
Working out in the park not only gets you in a different environment than the gym, but you will also find yourself doing exercises you might not normally do. Stadium stair climbs, sprints between trees, or even yoga or tai-chi!

- Elevated Push Ups
Have you ever done a workout in the park? What exercises would you suggest?
Never worked out in a park. I wouldn't mind doing a group workout...but I don't think I'd do it by myself.
ReplyDeleteI think a group workout in the park would be fun also. Safety (from feeling awkward) in numbers!
